Anxiety Training
These prices focus on one dog
Often anxiety in your dog is complexly wrapped up with a variety of simultaneous challenges. The goal is to eliminate all of the various stimuli that your specific dog is reacting to and instead they choose to look to you as their source of strength through you showing a calm assertiveness. Their trust in you needs to be greater than their fear of other things.
Due to this long term goal I employ a variety of approaches based on your specific situation. Sometimes this is as simple as creating a framework by beginning with foundation training to build on. In a different situation it may include introducing various routines your dog can use to grow from.
One of the more difficult anxiety training needs is Separation Anxiety. This often relates to your dog's core fear and the difficulty is that it exhibits itself the most when you are not there to redirect. For this reason we often need more than four weeks. Typically at this point we could add individual follow up lessons if needed. I would explain all of this based on my perception of the progress being made.
All Dogs need a leader who is trustworthy, humble, and earns respect daily. With any fear-based anxiety, a dog can overcome that fear by building trust with their owner. It is up to you to help your dog see that you are the leader they can trust.
In the Home Training
The home is where your dog is the most safe and comfortable. It is also where most of the natural animal behaviors become prominent. In home training, the trainer comes to the comfort of your home once a week to coach you on how to train your dog. Each lesson comes with homework for you to keep working and bonding with your dog through the week. Coaching you on how to train your dog helps you in the future as well as develops a foundation of communication, which you can use to further work with your companion.
